GUERARD, Henri

An accomplished young artist, Guerard posed with Ellen Andree for an ambitious cafe' scene by Manet. He was a brilliant printmaker, who helped Manet with the few etchings he produced in later years and acquired a remarkable collection of the artist's prints.
